Inclusion in an evolving industry

With AOG Energy just around the corner, the exhibition is highlighting how the job market in 2021 will be different. The Diversity & Inclusion Breakfast will start this conversation, with focus on why everyone entering the workforce deserves a fair chance.
The 2020 workforce reductions have caused a knowledge drain and impacted the older workforce in particular. Prior to 2020 it was already difficult for some people to find jobs in the oil and gas industry and if they did there were challenges of acceptance and inclusion.
Key industry diversity and inclusion leaders will discuss changes that we can make to set the industry up for success in 2021 and beyond.
AOG Energy is the leading trade exhibition and conference that is held annually in Perth – connecting the local supply chain as they explore opportunities and innovations that the local market has to offer.
Held on the second day of the two-day showcase, the Diversity and Inclusion Breakfast this year will host Tasha Broomhall MSc (Psych), an Adjunct Senior Lecturer with the University of Notre Dame and Director of Blooming Minds, as this year’s keynote speaker.
Tasha will be presenting the session ‘Mental health, diversity and intersectionality – Achieving genuine inclusion and participation in organisations’.
Tasha’s work has been recognised with the ICCWA Suicide Prevention Award, as a finalist in the LiFE Awards for Excellence in Suicide Prevention and in 2020 her ‘Inside Out’ segment with Christine Layton on ABC radio was the runner up in the Mental Health Week Media Awards.
Joining her on the panel discussion at this year’s breakfast will be:

  • Josephine McManus: Executive Assistant to Vice President ANP & OilField Equipment APACI – Baker Hughes
  • Laura Allen: Operations Process Owner – Woodside
  • Nicole Crnko: Senior Indigenous Employment Adviser – Woodside

This year’s Diversity & Inclusion Breakfast takes place on Thursday March 11, 2021 from 7 – 9.30am at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Tickets to the breakfast can be purchased by registering for AOG Energy at aogexpo.com.au/register.
